Getting lost in nature is among tho se frightening experiences which every adventurous person would go through. It will be the worst if you have no clue which way to chose. The following suggestions would help you to promote your nature wondering abilities. The first and foremost is to keep calm once lost.

It's not the exact footsteps;but rather any sort of trace that would indicate that there has been a human working or even passing by. Something like a road, domestic animals, building, bridge, stump, tires print, ash ( from burned fires), etc.
Once you find those, you'll have a better chance to end up in a safe place.

Most cities and villages are built nearby water. To find people , follow the water. The general rule is to go down it once you come across the rivers and streams. It will not only be easy but you won't lose much energy. If you follow it, you'll never feel thirsty either.

If you are in a place where it is difficult to have a perfect view , then find a high point to see everywhere. Make sure to get a safe spot. Be careful not to fall off once discovering .

You might not find a high point as a result of dense trees. You should go out of the forest to control the space around and find the lands of the human.

In the latest suggestion you were recommended to get a high point. But once you see around like an eagle, come down. You should follow on the direction of water. It always flows down due to the gravity. You will save your energy and have a better chance to survive.
